Christina welcomes on 5/15/2023:
Misty DeWell, Masters Level Practicum Student

Misty is serving her clients via In-person and Telehealth services.

Hi, I’m Misty. I am pursuing my Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The King’s University in Southlake, Texas. I have been married to my husband, David, for 14 years, I have one bonus adult son, Jacob, and a Nebelung breed cat named Sezja (pronounced say-ja).

I have a passion for walking alongside my clients as they process and heal from life experiences such as, anxiety, depression, infertility, miscarriage, betrayal trauma, etc., and work to aid clients in resolving their inner-personal and relationship challenges. I assist others in adjusting to marriage, divorce, and blended families.

Using modalities and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral, Emotionally Focused, Solutions Focused, Internal Family Systems, for example, my goal is to help clients engage in self-discovery to reclaim their self-esteem, and gain further insights as they work to meet their personal counseling goals.

I love seeing individuals, couples, and families improve communication, navigate and resolve internal and external conflict, and develop and foster effective long-term strategies.
