Christina G Smith, M.A, LPC-S

Christina graduated 1985 with her B.S. in Chemistry and has worked for a local Pharmaceutical company for 33 years before retiring in 2018.  In 2006, Christina completed her Master of Arts in Family and Marriage Counseling.  Since graduation, she has achieved the LPC certification from the State of Texas, and has continued her education:  Suicide Assessment, Play Therapy, LPC-Intern Supervisor Institute training.  Christina earned her Texas LPS-Intern Supervisor credential in 2015.  She offers a well rounded set of skills to help you in your present challenge and to help equip you to manage potential future challenges.

She has been married to her husband, Wesley, since May 1981, had completed American Sign Language Certification (Acquisition and Communicator) at Tarrant County College, Fort Worth, TX.

Mindy is a graduate student at Lamar University working towards clinical mental health counseling master's degree and ultimately, her LPC certification. As Mindy is still a student, she is under the supervision of Christina Smith LPC-S and a university supervisor. This supervision allows her to consult with experienced counselors so that she may continue learning and provide the best care for her clients.

 
Mindy graduated from Florida Southern College in 2015 with her B.S. in psychology and sociology. Mindy has a background in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA); however, she now operates from a person-centered theoretical perspective. Mindy is a member of the American Counseling Association and has training in child-centered play therapy, cognitive processing therapy (useful with PTSD), ABA, suicide assessment, and telemental health. Mindy is also an experienced researcher and has published papers in the fields of psychology and sociology.
